Batty Betty Sneak Peek

Initial Sketches, With Text
She was huge, compared to them.
     Yes, she was oversized.
Her hair was laced with tree leaves;
     There was stardust in her eyes.
She spun with that red basket
     in wonder, mesmerized.
And when she danced, the clouds would part,
     opening the sky.
But the beavers disliked Betty;              they called her "basket case."
They said she was so crazy,
     you could see it on her face.
Giants aren't to dance with baskets;
     she doesn't know her place!
Giants aren't to dance at all.
     They lack tutus. They lack grace.
